Brian earned a degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1987 in Economics with an emphasis in English Literature. He began his insurance career in 1990 with American National before joining Floyd Watkins & Associates, Inc. in 1994.
Before entering insurance, Brian worked as a bank manager for a national savings and loan company and as a research consultant for a local economic research firm in Portland.
Professionally, Brian has held several chair positions, including serving twice as President of the Vancouver-Clark County Chapter of NAIFA, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers. He earned his LUTCF designation in 1996.
In 2005, Brian was accepted as a member of the Life and Health Advisory for the Office of Insurance Commissioner and continues to serve on that board. He is also a member of Rotary.
Brian’s areas of expertise include disability income, group medical coverage, business continuation, and estate planning. He has more than twenty years of insurance industry experience and was raised in Vancouver, Washington.
